Augmented Reality Marketing Techniques in Lausanne
On January 7 2023, Girls Can Code with its partner Star Line organize an event focused at discovering the Augmented Reality Technology via the solution provided by Star Line that allows to visualize their decorative products in the house of their future customers via a smartphone or a tablet.
Girls (and boys) from 10 to 15 years old or young intrepreneurs can participate to one session of workshops that lasts 3 hours, either in the morning from 9h to 12h with a 15mins snack pause at 10h30 or in the afternoon from 14h to 17h with a 15mins snack pause à 15h30. The snack is offered by Star Line.
During one session we propose 4 different workshops with different activities described below.

c. Demonstration Virtual and Augmented Reality
d. Presentation of the different activities
3. Workshop 1: The Metaverse as a Marketing Channel
4. Workshop 2: 3D Modeling of an Objet
5. Workshop 3: Visualisation of Objets in 3D Augmented Reality for Marketing
6. Creation of a 3D room
The participants will experience how to use technology and augmented reality for marketing purposes. They will get in touch with entrepeneurs and learn directly what it means to create your own startup.
In order to be able to cover our internal costs mainly due to professionals, material and technical equipment provided by our partner Star Line, we ask attendees of the event for a monetary contribution. Please, check the Star Line website below for details.

Package Options
The Event is offered with the following options:
Standard Package: includes only the workshops partecipation at the CoLab in the Rolex Learning Center + snacks
Premium Package: Includes workshop participation + snacks + a promo code to be used on Star Line Shop + certification of participation + Star Line desk lamp and Girls Can Code offered surprise.
Participants can choose to attend either:
- mornings sessions from 9:00am to 12:00pm or
- afternoon sessions from 2:00pm to 5:00pm
Families subscring 2 kids get a discount on Standard or Premium Packages.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
ASSUMPTION OF RISK - Girls Can Code and Star Line do not assume responsibility for those inherent risks which may cause unfortunate accidents or incidents during our workshops. Girls Can Code and Star Line will not be held responsible for injury, death, damage, loss, delay, cost, expense, or inconvenience arising from accidents and misfortunes. The participant and his/her representatives understand, acknowledge, and expressly and voluntarily assume all risks and full responsibility for any injury arising out of or related to the Activities offered by Star Line and/or Girls Can Code.
RELEASE, DISCHARGE AND AGREEMENT NOT TO SUE - The participant and his/her representatives do hereby release, discharge and agree not to sue Girls Can Code and/or Star Line and their managers, members, employees and/or other agents, for any injury to or death of the Participant arising, directly or indirectly, from participation in the Activities. These release, discharge and covenant not to sue shall relate to any and all claims or legal rights now existing or arising in the future, including claims and legal rights arising out of any negligence of Girls Can Code and/or Star Line and/or its managers, members, employees and/or other agents and any other breach of a legal duty arising out of common law, statute, contract or otherwise.
INDEMNIFICATION AND HOLD HARMLESS – The participant and his/her representatives hold Girls Can Code and Star Line harmless from, without limitation, any and all claims, actions, suits, procedures, costs, expenses, damages and liabilities, including attorney’s fees and costs, incurred due to claims brought by any third party as a result of or arising out of the Participant’s involvement in the Activities and to reimburse Girls Can Code and Star Line for any such costs, expenses and fees as they are incurred.
HEALTH & ALLERGIES - The participant and his/her representatives will notify Girls Can Code and/or Star Line about any food or other allergies.
EXPECTATIONS - Girls Can Code and Star Line continuously evaluate workshops for their curricula. However, they remain a laboratory. Outcomes of workshops might not be as expected, due to different reasons, technical or other.
LOCATION - Girls Can Code and Star Line take on temporary lab spaces. Workshops might be re-located due to unforeseen events. In the event of relocation, participants will be notified.
CANCELLATION POLICY - All activities need to be paid 3 weeks before the event. Should the event be cancelled due to covid related restrictions, Girls Can Code and Star Line will repay the full amount. Cancellation up till 1 week due to force majeur from your side : refund possible, minus 10% of admin costs. Cancellation within 1 week: no refund possible.
