You have until June 30th, 2024 at 8:00pm CET, to submit your idea for the project using the attached template (PDF) and sending your proposal to info@girlscancode.swiss

In your submission, please provide information about yourself or your team, including your motivation for participating in this challenge. Describe your idea for a project aimed at introducing senior individuals to technology, identify your target audience, outline the steps you plan to follow, and articulate the expected results of your project. Additionally, justify why your project will have a positive impact.

Include details about the tools you intend to use and how you will implement your project, along with tentative dates for each phase. If participating as a team, introduce all team members and their roles. If you'd like, you can reach out to us at info@girlscancode.swiss to be assigned a coach who will provide support throughout all phases of your project.

You are required to implement your project from July 1st, 2024, until September 30th, 2024.

Please gather photographs and metrics to demonstrate the success of your project and the positive impact it had on your senior customers, whether it's your grandma, a retired teacher, or the community of retirees in a retirement home.

Begin compiling the necessary documents for submission using the provided templates (will be posted soon).

Utilizing an Agile methodology, you can report your progress to your Girls Can Code assigned coach and solicit feedback from your senior customers. You can then document this feedback in your project documentation for submission.

We eagerly anticipate receiving your documented project results by October 1st, 2024, at 8:00 PM CET.

After all results have been submitted, we will reconvene with all Girls Can Code assigned coaches and our board of industry experts to select the winners of our challenge, awarding both first and second place. Even if you do not secure the top positions, please know that your efforts are valued, and there are numerous opportunities and rewards awaiting you. You may be pleasantly surprised! We encourage you to participate and embrace this challenge wholeheartedly!

Now that you have completed your project and made a tangible difference in people's lives, it's time to reap your rewards, in addition to the fulfillment you've already gained from this endeavor (we sincerely hope you feel proud!).

Girls Can Code will host award ceremonies in Switzerland (in Lausanne, Zürich, or Lucerne) to personally meet and express our gratitude for the incredible mission you've accomplished.
